Xemplar Construction is the DBA brand for Trawick Homes Florida LLC. Led by Chris Marshall, the company serves Ocala and North Central Florida with commercial buildouts, tenant improvements, office renovations, custom homes, renovations, and construction planning grounded in clear communication and disciplined execution.
Meet the builder
Chris Marshall
Chris grew up in construction, starting at 15 in his father's construction company in Southeast Missouri. By 21, he was a co-owner, training crews, leading work in the field, and learning the parts of the business that only show up when real people, real schedules, and real budgets are on the line.
After that company was sold around the time Chris was 23, he started his own general contracting company. The work ranged from residential projects to commercial renovations, including historic downtown building renovations where planning, craftsmanship, and respect for the existing structure mattered.
In 2021, Chris and his family moved to Florida. After a season in the software world, he earned his Florida CBC license and brought those systems lessons back into construction. Xemplar combines hands-on building experience with the kind of process, documentation, and communication many outdated contractors never build into their companies.
